All Creatures Great and Small star Rachel Shenton reveals that she won’t be going back to Strictly Come Dancing or Strictly: It Takes Two.
In an exclusive interview on The One Show, Shenton revealed that the glittering dancefloor of Strictly Come Dancing or Strictly: It Takes Two (companion show) won’t be graced by her presence anytime soon. The actress, renowned for her role as Helen Alderson, candidly expressed her apprehensions about participating in the iconic dance competition.
When asked about the possibility of joining the Strictly lineup, Shenton’s eyes widened, and she admitted, “Oh, it would be terrifying.” She confessed that the prospect of dancing live on television was daunting.
Host Alex Jones tried to boost her confidence, assuring her that she would be “excellent” on the show. However, Shenton remained unconvinced, stating, “I could do it if it wasn’t televised, but the very idea of live TV.” Her voice trailed off, and she couldn’t hide her discomfort at the thought of showcasing her dance skills to a live audience.
Co-star Nicholas Ralph, who plays James Herriot in the Channel 5 series, also ruled himself out, humorously admitting, “I have two left feet, so I’m out.”
