Insidious Movies In Chronological Order
You might find the sequence bit confusing, but it is like this, the second is the sequel to the first. However, the third and last key are prequels directly linked to the first chapter.
Insidious: The Last Key (First Half)
Insidious: The last key follows the third chapter, but revolves around Elsie’s childhood flashbacks as well. Her childhood was not normal and highly abusive. Besides this, she used to see spirits and was able to feel them. But unable to tell anyone because no one believes her.
The first half revolves around Elise only and will feature her past relationship with Specs and Tucker. It will also reveal that Elsie’s niece also shares the same powers as her.
Insidious: Chapter 3
Chapter 3 starts with a teenager, Quinn feeling that her mother wants to communicate something from the other world. Therefore, ask Elsie (a paranormal investigator) for her help. Just at the beginning of the investigation, Quinn gets attacked by the evil spirit in the mask. The man was called ”a man who can’t breathe”. Elsie figures out that a demon is looking for someone’s soul they can feed on.
Elsie will be the key figure and will save the lives of many while unveiling the mysteries no one thought about or was unable to solve.
Insidious: The Last Key (Other Half)
The second half will dive into the life of Elsie ad how she became a paranormal investigator and how her life was different as she used to talk to nonhumans. She is a young girl with power who saves Lambert’s family, but what were the origins?
While she fights with the demons, she encounters a young boy Dalton Lambert trapped in a room; without interfering she leaves him, but during the night had a dream that he is in trouble and fighting demons. She wakes up by a phone call from Lorraine Lambert (grandmother of the child) asking for her help. From here it takes us to chapter 1.
Insidious
The first chapter will introduce the characters, a couple Josh, Renai, and their son Dalton. Who met a terrible accident and went into a coma keeping all the doctors speechless. Hopeless parents take their son with them, but figure out something is wrong as they start experiencing paranormal activities.
They summoned Elsie to help them and their child. (As we are watching it chronologically, we know Elsie is a paranormal investigator). In the fight against the demon, she got killed by Josh as he was possessed. This scene is the highlight of the movie because Josh murdered a person who was helping them in saving their child.
Insidious: Chapter 2
After the murder of Elsie, the Lambert family bears two problems. First, the demon, and second Josh murdered her. Elsie’s spirit comes to help Lamberts as they were struggling too much. Elsie helped the family to get their life together and fight against the demon that is still with them While sorting all the mysteries Elsie got to know something unexpected and shocking. From here onwards, a new drama begins that will keep you engaged with the series.
