Late-Night Hosts Plan ‘Strike Force Three’ Live Show in Vegas

Late-night hosts Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, and Stephen Colbert have announced they will perform their one-off live show, Strike Force Three, together in Vegas. They aim to demonstrate their Writers Guild of America (WGA) and SAG-AFTRA strike-time unity this way.

Strike Force Three will take place on September 23 at the Dolby Live at Park MGM. The proceeds from the show will go towards supporting their late-night staff who have been out of work due to the SAG-AFTRA strikes.

This collaboration comes as a surprise since the hosts used to compete against each other for viewership. However, with the strikes closing their shows earlier this year, they have found common ground and are now even vacationing together.

Seth Meyers and John Oliver, who are part of the Strike Force Five podcast along with Fallon, Kimmel, and Colbert, did a few New York dates this summer. All five hosts are also part of the Spotify podcast, where they share stories about their first shows, reticent guests, and their collective experiences over the summer.

While the podcast has yet to address the recent allegations of erratic behavior and a toxic working environment at Fallon’s Tonight Show, he did address the allegations with his staff during a Zoom meeting.

Fallon expressed his embarrassment and apologized for any discomfort caused. He reassured his staff that he never intended to create such an atmosphere on the show.
