Peacock has announced the cast for their reality TV show, The Traitors Season 2. This time, they gathered 18 reality TV all-stars, including some notable names.
Among them is Michael Jordan’s son, a former Speaker of the House of Commons from the UK, and a heavyweight boxing champion. Alan Cumming will return as the charismatic host, accompanied by his dog Lala.
The cast includes two legendary Survivor players, Sandra Diaz-Twine and Parvati Shallow, as well as Big Brother favorites Dan Gheesling and Janelle Pierzina. The lineup also features veterans from shows like Dancing With the Stars, The Bachelor, RuPaul’s Drag Race, and The Challenge.
Moreover, four Real Housewives will join the competition. In addition to the reality TV stars, three other public figures will compete.
Michael Jordan’s son, Marcus, is romantically linked to one of the other contestants, Larsa Pippen, from The Real Housewives of Miami. Pippen is also the ex-wife of Scottie Pippen, Michael Jordan’s former Chicago Bulls teammate.
The lineup is completed by John Bercow, a British politician who served as a Member of Parliament for over 20 years, including a decade as Speaker of the House of Commons. There’s also Deontay Wilder, a prominent boxer who held the WBC heavyweight title for five years.
The Traitors is a reality competition series set in a castle in the Scottish Highlands. The contestants, known as the “Faithful,” must complete missions to increase the prize money to $250,000. However, hidden among them are a few Traitors.
After each mission, the Faithful banish someone they suspect to be a Traitor, while the Traitors secretly eliminate one of the Faithful they want out of the game. If the Faithful eliminate all the Traitors, the remaining contestants split the prize money. But if any Traitors survive until the end, they take home the entire pot.
Last season, former Survivor and current Big Brother player Cirie Fields managed to deceive her Faithful allies into thinking she was one of them, ultimately claiming all the money.
The filming for The Traitors season 2 has begun in Scotland, with the probable release in January 2024.
