The MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMAs) 2023 are set to return this Tuesday night. It’s a historic moment as the Artist of the Year category features only female nominees for the first time. The contenders vying for the coveted award include Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj, Karol G, and Shakira.
In an announcement made on Tuesday morning, the VMAs unveiled their final list of presenters, an impressive lineup featuring A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, Anuel AA, Ashanti, Billy Porter, Chloe Bailey, Dove Cameron, Fat Joe, Halle Bailey, Nelly Furtado, Reneé Rapp, Saweetie, Shenseea, Thalia, Tiffany Haddish, Timbaland, and Wyclef Jean.
The VMAs will be held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, just outside of New York City, and this year’s host will be Nicki Minaj. She previously co-hosted the event with Lil Wayne and Jack Harlow last year, but this time, she’s taking on the role solo.
Additionally, the show has something special in store as it plans to celebrate 50 years of hip-hop with an epic finale performance that will bring together legendary artists like DMC, Doug E. Fresh, Grandmaster Flash, the Furious Five, LL Cool J, and Nicki Minaj.
Set your clocks for 8 p.m. EDT/PDT this Tuesday as the MTV VMAs 2023 kick-off and will be broadcasted on MTV, as well as simulcast on BET, BET Her, CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV2, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, Pop, TVLand, and VH1. Spanish-speaking viewers can catch the show on UniMás as well.
